Wayne asked for a moment of silence for Lee Crum’s brother.
Secretaries Report: Michele Armstrong, read the minutes from our September meeting, minutes were read, and approved by membership.
Treasurer’s Report: Bard Foster, Bills and expenditures were read and approved by members.
Vice Commodore Report: Ed Roloff, We have purchased a new cash register, it will be set up similar to present one only it will work. We had a board meeting and prices have risen on our beer products and we can no longer absorb the cost, beer will be raised to $1.50 a can. The question was raised about patio prices, and nothing in this matter was discussed, for now this will raise a dollar to $7.00.
Recreation Chair: Roberta Roloff, October 11, 2020 will be the Chile Cook-off out at Shorelines Island. Bring you’re a-game as some home-style recipes are tough to beat, good luck to all. WE have an Adult Halloween Party scheduled for October 24 , 2020 7:00p.m.-11:00 p.m., Tiffany Apfel and Sheila Modesitt have stepped up to chair this, we could ask to you to sign up for a count for Pizza for the party. Following that will be the kids Halloween party and outside event, Trunk or Treat, and yours truly Roberta Roloff has stepped up to chair this awesome event. Bert is asking for $300 for this as we since Covid-19 have had little to offer the lil boaters, and we plan on this being one to remember. This motion was raised by Wayne Eichelkraut seconded by Craig Godwin. Please sign up for this event also so we can get an accurate count of guests. This will be Saturday October 31, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. We have a Tailgate Party scheduled for Bears game at 1:00 p.m. October 4, 2020 with burgers and hotdogs, we ask you bring either a dish to pass, or a dessert.
Membership Chair: Gerry Burkart, for his second meeting we have Geno Francione, Speaking on Geno’s behalf was Larry Michaels, and John Criswell his sponsors.
And for his third meeting and vote was Derek Behrens, Ralph Conrad spoke on his behalf as a sponsor. Derek was asked to leave the premises for the vote. Another plus was that by sponsoring Derek, we got Ralph to attend our meeting. “Welcome to Shoreline Boat Club Derek.”
Clubhouse Chair: Jeff Mackiewicz, reminded everyone due to Covid-19 we are still not renting out the backroom, and it seems all other clubs or organizations have halted rentals also.
Club grounds Chair: Larry Michaels, got access to 17 semis of ground asphalt from the Urgent Care parking lot on Rt. 6 and it was spread by several members, and a special thank you to all that pitched in and helped in this project.
Lagoon Chair: Greg Farmer, Looking into a repair to the footings on the west wall. Also tentively the 2nd Lagoon Meeting will be held on November 8, 2020.
Island Chair: Ryan Garzanelli, we are with the Chile Cook-off rapping things up at Shoreline Boat Club Island. I would like to thank everyone that has helped with our Island and making it look nice for all.
Old Business: We need to renew all of our Bassett Licenses, looking into having a group class, or join an organization to provide this training.
Wayne Eichelkraut has asked that if you are going to post on Social Media photos of club functions do it only on Shorelines Private Page. Don’t post it on Facebook…………..
New Business: Jim Stalker has proposed a bylaw addition and it is posted with what “article it is in conjunction with” on the west wall.
Looking into the purchase to lift heavy items around the club a platform lift, in the event of flooding and such.
